Rachel Adelson learned the power of simple, direct language on the streets of the Bronx in New York City. She has applied this knowledge to a successful communications career aimed at promoting public health and scientific literacy. Her experience bridging research and the real world helps her find the right images and messages to connect facts, findings, programs and services with your target audience.
Rachel promotes and popularizes information about health and science topics, especially brain and behaviour. She has special interests in neuroscience, cognitive aging and impairment, and design and technology for aging and disability. Her work is often reprinted in college textbooks and psychology reference works. Clients have included the American Psychological Association, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Discovery Communications, the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of North Carolina, and IBM's THINK Magazine and other company units.
Rachel created Live Wire Communications in New York in 1992 and moved to the Toronto area in 2007. Prior to 1992, Rachel held senior-level positions in IBM's respected Corporate Communications program, including stints at company headquarters in Armonk and Somers, N.Y. She managed multi-level communications programs, wrote award-winning speeches for senior executives, and edited companywide publications such as IBM Management Report.
Rachel has an M.A. in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She is also a proud 2007 graduate of widely respected certificate programs in Core Public Health Concepts and Aging at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a U.S. citizen and Permanent Resident of Canada.

Alan Breznick is an accomplished business journalist and senior analyst tracking the telecom, cable and consumer electronics industries. With experience in New York and Washington, D.C., Alan has covered those industries from business, technology, policy and regulatory perspectives. Clients have included Kinetic Strategies, Pike & Fischer, Consumer Electronics Association, Kagan Research, Duke University, Carmel Group, Entrepreneur, In-Stat, One Touch Intelligence, Cablevision Systems and Nortel.
Alan earned a B.A. in English/Rhetoric from the State University of New York at Binghamton and an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University. A New York City native now based in Toronto, he loves pizza, roots for the Mets (even when they don't deserve it) and prefers mass transit. He is a U.S. citizen and Permanent Resident of Canada.
